What is an Escape Room?
Our escape room is:
At Chameleon Theatre North, English learning becomes an adventure! Our English-language escape room is a fun and fast-paced activity where students work together to solve puzzles, complete challenges, and defeat a character played by our facilitator—all while using English in a natural, dynamic way.
Each year, the escape room features a new theme and antagonist, brought to life by a native English-speaking actor. Students must interact with the facilitator, follow instructions, and work together to succeed.
This year's activity
How long?:
Each session lasts around 45–50 minutes and accommodates up to 32 students. Multiple sessions can be held throughout the day.
Price:
€5 per student, with a minimum of 100 students per day (across sessions). Give your students the chance to put their English into action—through logic, communication, and a lot of fun!
A fun challenge for older students
Our Escape Room
• Highly interactive – Students actively take part in the experience by solving tasks, following instructions, and communicating directly with the facilitator in English.
• Language-focused – Every part of the activity requires students to use their English skills to complete puzzles and overcome challenges, reinforcing vocabulary and listening comprehension in a fun context.
• Collaborative and inclusive – Students begin in small teams and unite for a final challenge, promoting teamwork and communication.
• Designed for your classroom – We bring everything and set up in a large classroom or similar space with tables, using the same room for all sessions throughout the day.
• Level-adaptable – Recommended for 3rd and 4th of Secondary, but also suitable for 1st and 2nd if your school is not opting for a theatre performance. In certain cases it can be adapted for 5th and 6th of Primary if students have a high level of English.
• Supported by prep materials – You’ll receive pre-activity resources and videos to help students get ready and feel confident during the session.
